The Burroughs Home & Gardens is the only luxury, historic, waterfront venue in the downtown Fort Myers area offering an open-air pavilion (with the option to be fully enclosed) to host a variety of special events.  The open-air, Gale McBride Pavilion was built in 2016 on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River offering breathtaking riverfront views, sultry sunsets and surrounding tropical foliage.  This luxury, historic property hosts a plethora of other attractive features such as the historic Murphy-Burroughs home with wrap-around porches and a verandah, free-standing fountain, a grotto (the first one built in Fort Myers) fed by an artesian well, a secret garden with reflecting pool, gazebo, and palm alley.  The garden features many varieties of palm trees, elephant ears, century-old oaks, ficus, bougainvillea, and birds of paradise. The site also contains a caretaker’s carriage house and utility shed that were built to echo the home’s architecture.
